FAQ

Welcome & Thank You!

We’re so glad you’ve chosen to purchase (or are considering) The Great Okanagan Wine Quest- a one-of-a-kind illustrated art print designed to celebrate our wine country in a fun, interactive way. Whether you’re gifting it, displaying it, or scratching your way through the Okanagan, we hope it brings you joy and inspiration for your next winery visit.

By supporting independent art and bringing our product into your home. You help keep local stories alive and this allows me to keep creating unique ways to celebrate the Okanagan and the 100+ local wineries that are featured in the print.

Frequently Asked Questions:

Um.. what do you mean by interactive?

Well... it's like the scratch and win cards, but with wineries (genius right?). You head to a winery, sample the juicy grapes and scratch off the corresponding gold dot to reveal a wine bottle icon underneath. As you sip and scratch you can keep tabs on where you have been on your wine quest.

How do I scratch my map?

#1 rule: be gentle, its not a lotto card!  Your map may need a little uncurling after being stored in the mailing tube. We recommend keeping it in the brown paper, placing a few art-friendly paper weights on the corners, and leaving it for a few hours.

When you’re ready to scratch, place your map on a flat, clean, hard surface. Using your fingernail, ever so delicately scratch off the foil dot. Take care not to scratch outside the foil, as this can damage the paper. Gently blow away the scratched foil, and if needed, lightly rub the area with a clean, dry tissue to remove any remaining residue.

To care for your print, store it in cool, dry conditions and out of direct sunlight.

Alternatively, many customers choose to leave their map unscratched and enjoy it framed as an art print.

How do I unpack

#1 rule: be gentle! We recommend placing your map on a flat, clean, hard surface and use your fingernail to ever so delicately scratch off the foil dot, be careful not to scratch outside the foil dot as it can damage the paper. Blow away the scratched foil and if needed rub gently with clean, dry tissue paper to get rid off any left over residue. Also to care for your print keep it in cool, dry conditions out of direct sunlight.

Do the posters come framed?

No, the poster is sold as a stand alone item and comes rolled up in a tube. However we do recommend magnetic hanger frames which work like a clamp to perfectly frame your print, and still allows you to scratch away! Or the print looks equally good in a glass frame. We appreciate everyone has different taste in frames, which is why we leave the  frames as an option. The print size is 16x20 Inches and here are some links to frames that we recommend:

Amazon Hanger Frame - Choose 17 Inches

Michaels Float Frame

H&M Hanger Frame

When was the map last updated?

Our 2025/2026 edition was freshly printed and updated as of October 2025. While we’d love to update the print every time a new winery opens, minimum printing volumes make that challenging. Instead, we release updated editions annually or bi-annually, depending on how much the region evolves..
